It was nice to see them as part of the presentation to the Exceller Fund with Gary Contessa.

My only time on television when I was caught leaping out of a window at the Star Hotel in Long Island City back in 1971 during a raid.

yes we were.... Spent the day with Gary in the best rest. in the track, was a great day and the exceller fund got a nice amt of money, one check from pat kelly (classy man) and the other from NYRA. Gary called me early this week and asked me to be with him in the winners circle because i am partly why hes the president of the fund....great day ended sad though, the 9 horse in the last race died in the stretch and i took off in tears, thank god there wasnt a board meeting, it was right in front of where we stay, you would have had 2 basket cases to deal with. I dont cope with that too well.... The horse that died was also by birdstone, how freaky...

It was a nice experience but a horse dying in the stretch and a trip to the emergency room later on kinda put a damper on it.
