"AEG's partners include former MGM executive Larry Woolf and Rev. Floyd Flake, the political mentor of Senate President Malcolm Smith (D-Queens)."
The fix was in.

http://drf.com/news/article/110472.htmlnice to see the good reverend is there to bless the proceedings. not sure what his expertise in the business of games of chance but never let ones qualifications or lack thereof stop you from being appointed to positions in an industry.

The state wants them to up it to $300m
Don't worry, 10 years from now, there still won't be any slots turning at Aqueduct.

The Reverend Flake has quite a bio, especially from when he was a congressman. If you Google "Floyd Flake scandal" you come up with 5,400 hits.

AEG website is at http://www.aqueductentertainment.com/index.phpTheir nifty drawing has the inner track labeled as "turf track". Yeah, this is all about helping out racing.

The former congressman (Reverend Floyd Flake) is an investor into the winning bid and that raises my hackles. He was Governor Paterson's mentor and guiding light years ago.
I suppose the video of the blind accidental governor and Flake won't be public.
Stuff that starts with "Yo homie..." could never be made public.

Let's see if these thieves and degenerates can come up with the 300 million upfront payment required by the Senate leader Sheldon Silver.
If not, Cuomo or someone should investigate.
"S.L. Green issued a statement of its own, expressing disappointment with Paterson’s decision. "We clearly have presented the state with the superior proposal backed by a team that is best equipped to deliver on its promises to the community and to New York’s taxpayers," the company says, adding that the partnership stands ready "to re-engage state officials" should AEG fail to meet the conditions outlined by Silver".
