Per a source on the TRNY page on Facebook, admission can be purchased at the Box Office or Ticketmaster through Friday. Saturday, it's Ticketmaster only until they sell out.
I guess that this is their way of making sure that there are no walk-up customers walking into disappointment if they hit their cap early in the morning.

In life just as in the service there are always "the 10% that don't get the word".
There will be thousands of no-ticket people coming to Belmont Park on June 6th.

NYRA's press release: https://www.nyra.com/belmont/nyra-remin ... n-advance/They need to really make this clear to the general public through every medium necessary. TV, radio, newspapers, Andy and Jason on the prattle... NYRA.com isn't going to cut it, as the "10%" that Larry refers to in his previous post will become 20%.

Here's an interesting question: of the General Admission tickets sold so far, how many are up for sale on sites such as StubHub? eBay? I'm guessing thousands.
If NYRA announces a sellout this week, the "value" of those tickets should skyrocket through race day. In essence, the "10%" that don't pay attention can expect to come out to Belmont, get turned away at the gate, and then expect to pay $50 (just throwing a number out there) from a scalper to enter the gate after all. At that point, is it worth going home?

Interesting video news clip from Timer-Warner New York News 1. http://www.ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/new ... e-cap.html"The eyes of the sports world will be on New York this Saturday when American Pharoah attempts to win racing's elusive Triple Crown. It's a badly needed shot in the arm for the race track, but for the first time ever, racing officials are limiting attendance, and will likely have to turn people away." (the italics are mine).

Best line I caught for a comment on a news article regarding the Belmont:
"As much as I love the belmont stakes, I will never go again because of the amount of drunks I had to step over to leave the track."
I missed that year so I wasn't one of them.
