Perhaps nobody knocks the state-bred program more than me but a few of them are decent runners. Horses such as SAY FLORIDA SANDY and LOTTSA TALC come immediately to mind as multiple graded stakes winners.

there are dozens who won open caps in just the last year and one who won a Kentucky Derby not all that long ago.

The Derby winner was bred in Kentucky and then the pregnant mare was Van Scammed to New York for the taxpayer handouts.

Let's be honest now.

The NY Bred Program is a racket for picking the taxpayers' pockets.

we will never agree on this point...should the NY Bred program disappear than NY Racing would follow. Pretty much the same way The Roman Coliseum went dark..no warriors no orgies.

NY breds should be knocked up in NY by a NY standing stallion.
