The job with making a morning line is assigning odds according to what YOU believe the public will make them when they go to the windows. You have to handicap both the runners and the public. One scratch can skew the line to hell and gone. I'm just glad that our friend Travis will be gainfully employed close to home for the summer. |

Donovan will still do the lines for the big A, and Belmont. He's very busy producing NYRA television, which will make it's debut at the $pa. |

Years ago, after the scratches came up a new ML would go up on huge chalkboards at the NYRA tracks. The ones at Aqueduct and Belmont were up above the grandstand cashiers by a catwalk and the one at Saratoga was outside near the paddock. |
