Lordy, that's terrible news. Sorry for "Go Go" Gomez. Forty and four is maybe half-way through life with a good trip but nobody has a guarantee to be living for any amount of time after that first breath from Mom. |

Heckuva rider and athlete. Met him at a golf outing once. We noticed this little guy on the driving range knocking the crap out the ball and it turned out to be Garrett Gomez. Can't tell you how many times I needed something to get home for a nice DD or pick 3, think I had it in the bag and then something came along late to get me. I'd check to see who beat me and time after time it was Garrett Gomez. He did it to Rocket a lot too and we used to joke about it. But he brought home some good ones for me as well. Another talent gone too soon because he couldn't control the demons. RIP. |
