If you doubt it than you doubt my story which means you doubt me credibility or recall. In either case..Move on. It is EXACTLY what he was told and what he told me...Oh and by the way...Ghenting is not building a hotel in the middle of Aquedump for horse racing fans ....Grand opening is in .....two years....HMMM.

OK so today...Cuomo unveils a peek at the plan. It is Islanders getting 18,000 sq ft facility. AN entertainment and movie complex and a hotel...Now I may not know much but I know it is going to mean a nitemare post groundbreaking should the Belmont facility remain open.

I stick by the story I was told because it makes the most sense

Stay tuned.

The Isles are coming back to Nassau and should co-exist nicely with the racing at Belmont just by what the calendar tells us.

And now I suppose the Nassau Coliseum has become a white elephant just 8 miles east.

Having two racetracks within 8 miles of each other is not practical by any means, but investing in improvements to a facility that could become a white elephant in 2-3 years is just as impractical. They are better off putting in lights at Belmont and making token improvements to that track for their spring/fall seasons and keeping Aqueduct as is.
