Andy wished Tony Stabile a "Happy Memorial Day". Stabile did not return the greeting and for that I am glad.

I understand that no disrespect was intended but to a veteran it's like seeing somebody who has buried his mother and on the anniversary of her death saying, "Happy Your Mom Is Dead Day".

People were brighter years ago.

Thanks. I know that Andy meant no harm and is not a veteran and that's OK but to say something stupid like that on TV is irksome to me.

I'm 71 and hoisting a few while diddling the Belmont card but I've got the colors waving outside in the breeze and thinking about some teen Marines I knew in service that didn't make it to be 20-years-old.
