That beats my best. I had a horse named THE DODGER that paid $101 and kicked off a 4X2X1 P3 that landed with ARTAX setting a track record for $2200 at Belmont Park. And I remember a winter runner that paid $98 over the Big A inner with Diane Nelson up. And via a DQ when I was at a strange saloon in Hicksville I snagged a $1300 2-pony zacta box. I think the winner was better than 50/1. 186/1? No, not ever. |

I had Stormy's Secret at 75-1 ($153) in the 2008 Maid of the Mist on NY Bred Day. She won that race as a maiden and only ran two more times, never on the board. I had stumbled across a clocker report that said her works were good, so I included her in the last leg of a small Pick3 wager (probably 2X2X3), which paid $516. Also had a $2 win ticket. I didn't put her in the pick 3 that started with the Maid of the Mist, and missed on cashing big. Sigh.... Trained by the late Domenic Galluscio |
