I knew early this morning that this Thursday card was a tough beast. I was able to fiddledick my way into a profit but giving out top-pick winners was a rough pull for anybody. Andy Fans caught four top-pick winners from nine races that paid $10.80, $10.40, $6.20 and $7.10. That wasn't bad shooting with this card. The horses I called up top went fairly well but the competition was mind-boggling. A horse I figured to be 3/1 paid $17.60 in Race 2 and I was too stupid to catch the early DD. I was happy to catch the DD into the next race. Tough game is this. |

I liked SOCIAL WHIRL and mentioned the horse up top. Sweet $19.60 overlay with the figs climbing. Nice race for Maggie and Tom Morley. |

Crazy price on the winner. I thought she would be around 4:1. Great start for Tom for sure. |
