The announcer at Arlington is one cold SOB. Rene Douglas get knocked off his horse by Theriot and not one word or reaction from Dooley  Never misses a beat calling the race like nothing happened :x

Whats the problem? Man is paid to call races and thats what he did. On a different note I hope Mr Douglas makes a full recovery.

The problem is that is part of the race and to ignore it is to make light of it
You'll never hear Durkin ignore trouble on the track. Unprofessional :!:

Cmon Folks

Dooley Does a Good Job . Every Racecaller continues with the Race UNLESS there is Something Forward on the Track that is Dangerous . To say a Racecaller goes Back to the Scene when they are coming down the stretch with no Impediment is just not true .

Generally they may say a POSITIVE THING they can quickly catch like Jock is Up or Jock Off the Track but in this case Rene was Down the WHOLE TIME and the Horse lied on Top of HIM the Whole Time. What is it you wanted Dooley to Tell You ? Did you think He was Going to Focus on the Scene and Forget the Call of the Race ???

Everyone wants the World to Stop when Negative Stuff Happens . Thats why We only Deal with Negative Stuff .

Pray For Rene and Leave it Alone.

By the way the Horse Is OK.

No Yorker, the horse was euthanized at the barn.

This is a terrible, terrible tragedy for a fine rider. Prayers for Rene and his family.

"Born to Be, who shipped in from Woodbine for trainer Eric Coatrieux, also was badly injured. She was taken by horse ambulance to Arlington's detention barn, and had to be euthanized later Sunday night."
