I didn't realize the ALW condition is not the same as downstate, ie. that these horses could (and have) gone through their open company conditions.

Oh, well, I have tried four times to get him in for $12,500 ... and the race hasn't gone four times. I won't run him back for $7500. He is better than that. I'm hoping to use this as a springboard to run him long next time, which will suit him better, I think.

I'll be happy with a 4th in this very tough spot.

next time Roxy, at least the jock took it easy on him. I'll be watching Waste No Days tomorrow and wish you a good race and safe journey.

Devil is fine today. The race was just a $350 work, to be honest, and it sets him up to run long in the very near future. So all's fine. He was playful today and honestly he just realized the competition was too tough and didn't try to hard for the latter half of the event. He'll be ok.
