I haven't noticed since I'm still trying to hit the pick1. Did they increase the takeout? Or are more people playing it and covering more combos?

I have seen far too many $20 and $30 Payoffs which makes for mixed feelings on a winning ticket.

Unless you get a bomb in there somewhere, they don't seem to pay very well for the most part.

If you ever want value check out the pick 5 at Monmouth.

By my rough calculations with my skills I have about a 20% chance of hitting the P5 with a $3600 ticket.

It's not a third rate track and the pick 5 is a good bet

Monmouth is not a track to jump in and out of..Those who play the angles and understand the track do very well. It might also be the BEST family experience relative to racing on the east coast. I have always enjoyed Monmouth on track but never bet it from off. Being in a Partege and having lunch while betting the ponies is a great experience..A great venue.Winners head south in the old days for a shore dd with AC racecourse and a late nite outing to the casino..Ah the good ole days.

The rolling doubles that allow a peek into leg 2 probably haven't helped much.

The takeout is 26% on pick threes in New York. It is too much of the slimy hands scooping the pool. 26% is cutting into the value of the wager. Better off hammering the doubles with the lower takeout and the benefit of willpays.
