A single make-believe turf takes with 6 horses entered makes me not want to work the card. Tomorrow's first race has five horses entered.

Looks like what's left of the BLUE SHARK dough stays in the kick. The racing this spring has been nothing short of horrible for a horizontal player. There ain't nobody running. A Pick player needs full fields to go diddle a score.

Keeneland direct competition for Aqu. And Keeneland doesn't have big fields except for turf either. They have a few 4.5f maiden races. too. PPL on Facebook were complaining about the short fields at Keeneland.

Days need to be cut and those dopey 12 & 13 race Saturdays need to be put away. Everybody loves to handicap a 5-horse field before scratches. Yeah right. That's why I love the Philly Follies - a sharp 'capper can squeeze some value out of the garbage on a good day. Too many sharpies playing New York.

Somebody posted the truth:

"This has nothing to do with the surface. There just aren't enough horses, period. The reason why the turf races have bigger fields is because there aren't as many turf races."

Instead of diluting the product with so many days and races the tracks need to cut back. I understand the ramifications from lost days and work but racing is in a slow death spiral and too many tracks are propped up by slots. That extended Gulfstream meet has knocked the stuffing out of New York and Keeneland racing.

Don't forget... much more strigent and vilgant drug testing in KY as well as NY.
Gulf...I don't know about. It was the track where Gill had his horse's leg cut off after it was destroyed to hide evidence of nerving.
