The backyard farm has been completely weeded while some tree and bush trimmings have been properly disposed of. The newly retired lady of the house and rookie slave master is permitting a beer run and a day at the races for her beleaguered husband and son (John and I rated extra consideration for showering and making a good pot of coffee). The Lumps are currently 262/22/26/31 for the meet ($475.80 total win mutuel).
R1: #7 ROMAN REVIVAL (15/1) - WON, $43.60, $12.80, $8.20 R2: #11 GOT WINGED (8/1) - 2nd, $5.90, $3.70 & #1 MICHAEL JAMES (20/1) - Out R3: #4 RACING FOR CHASEN (12/1) - 3rd, $3.60 R4: SCRATCH R5: #3 CHIEF EXCHANGER (15/1) - Out R6: #6 THE IMPOSTER (8/1) - Out R7: #4 COSMIC COINCIDENCE (20/1) - 2nd, $7.70, $4.70 R8: #2 FRONT (15/1) -2nd, $10.00, $6.50 R9: #3 BLUE BERYL (12/1) - WON, $48.60, $17.20, $12.60 & #12 PSYCHIATRY (8/1) - 2nd, $4.60, $4.00, EX = $181.00

The bookend BOMB Lump winners were huge paydays at my house - early DD into a single, late P4 and getaway exacta.
And I was weeding the backyard farm this morning on my knees after breakfast like an enslaved dirt dork before even thinking about printing the past performances, making a beer run or working the card. Go figure.

I can remember working cards hard and taking seconds and rough beats all day while hoping that there was canned soup in the cupboard. But there have also been days at a joint like Philly Park that figs and trainers and fliers and horses have run like WHIRLAWAY on a good day race after race when I did not work the past performances well.
No way I get the getaway Pick anything today with the the 23/1 Bomb Lump firster like my son did (and he won't look at the Lumps) but I caught the Lumpzacta. It's true - John 'capped the 9th firster through breeding, work tabs and connections.
In Race 8 in a shit short 6-horse field 1/8 Pole laid in an insane 1X3 exacta box. He caught the winner for leg 3 of his P4 but never had the Lump underneath that caught the place for good money and the $56.50 exacta.
Human brains connected by DNA and a lot of beers through the years and time along the rail shoulder to shoulder do not make people think alike.
