It was a tough card to get into on Friday night in view of the weather that is coming. It's been raining since before dawn and the worst is yet to come. I didn't like anybody in this race but I did make some notes.

The Lump PRAISE THE MOON scratched out of Friday's 7th to land here. Hasn't been seen since October but has been working well. Drops in for a tag and handles off going. Useful somewhere I reckon.

SA shipper by way of Philly DRIVEN WEST went OK with a two-turn mile last out when first run for a tag. Has the tactical speed to be in good shape early and gets into this one with Irad as the pilot.

It's mid-May and the heat is on at my house just 8 miles east of Belmont Park. The three cats here are all buried in warm beds with full bellies.

And I still don't like this race but I'm a gamer after a week away from the races and my beloved beers.

The Deuce and Four were taking steady late money but the last-second dump of win cash on the the #2 winner DRIVEN WEST was enormous.
