Ah! It's Slow Bred Day! Prior to the scratches the field in this one was a combined zip for 117. And people wonder why old horse players wind up in doorways mumbling to themselves while guzzling cheap wine. The MTO SARATOGA CHARLIE picks up Irad for a pilot and once got second over some Belmont mud. That was just over a year ago. LIGHT THE VOW handle the Spa slop last August at a route. The Lump OH SO SINISTER has fired his top figs on off-going. Maybe makes a breakthrough in the 30th start. SHADES OF BROWN makes only his third start off a layoff and can't be as slow as most of these. |

They came down the lane in trotter time but the chalk still could not get by SARATOGA CHARLIE. I'm OK with having some Pick races kick off with evens gone. |
