I did well at this meet last summer but am always prepared to hand over my cash to the farmers and tourists who are brighter than me.

The chalkies are going to love INDYCOTT. He beat similar last summer at this distance and is 2 for 4 at the Spa. Came off the shelf in May to beat better at Aqueduct going two turns. Catches the rail and Irad today for the run to the first turn.

It's turf to dirt for the Lump MARRIAGE FEVER who is 2/1/1 in 6 tries at the distance. The figs are ascending and he's won at Saratoga. Could brighten up a gimmick ticket.

PRAETEREO has the speed to work a trip from the outside break. Worked Monday at Philly but shipped in for this race. Has won at this distance and is not out of this.

I do not like INDYCOTT here. Too many gaps in his racing. He did win two back, but that was a 5 horse field going 8 furlongs. His dry tracks races have not been great. If I was getting 4-1, it might be another story, but at 8-5, I will pass.

There is a bunch of speed in here, so I am looking for mid race stalkers who can sit in pounce. Both MARRIAGE FEVER and PRAETEREO seem to fit in here. These are the two to key in doubles.

I saw those 24, 49 and 1:14 splits and figured the RIVER DATE ticket holders would be racing to the cashiers.

The chalkies caught a dime under 3/2 ($4.90) and that ain't bad.

And yes, on Talking Horses INDYCOTT was the very first horse of the meet that caught the "This horse could win but..." comment from our beloved Andy.
