When you call out five of ten on a tough card you rate a salute. I can't do a lot of Marine things now while getting near 70 but I can still stand at attention locked in and fire off a grand salute with the forearm from the elbow making a perfect 45-degree and a flat tight hand touching the tip of my brow. I learned how to do that 52 years ago in between beatings on Parris Island as a 17-year-old shitbird recruit and a worthless, 4-eyed sack of worthless scum that New York had sent south to sabotage the United States Marine Corps. My Drill Instructors were perfect gentlemen and had great manners back in late 1965 when Vietnam was warming up. Andy called out $11.40, $4.60, $4.60, $8.70 and $6.00 on Talking Horses. Not bad. |
