Chad's Lump and gallant statebred NOBLE FREUD is a perfect one for one on turf (a stakes win upstate) and graded stakes placed on dirt. I'm in.

The French Lump BOOS got untracked last out with a sharp win at Monmouth. This girl has done some seriously quick races over the greenery and bogs back home and might be overlooked here with Chad sending out two fillies here.

Clement's EPPING FOREST is the "horse for the course" with 3 wins in 4 starts on the Belmont lawns. She's two for two at this distance and catches Rosario today with Ortiz going with the Chad fave. This gal may be sitting on a huge effort again.

I ain't thrilled with the Chad chalk but the busted P3 will catch some double action.

Out of the clouds came the fave.

Great ride by the Irishman Feargal Lynch in this race to catch the place but I know that my wife's cousin over in Ireland spells his name Fergal. In 1987 that little bastard bapped my ankle with a hurling stick and had me hopping.

Out of the Irish language into English that name has caught several different spellings according to my Irish teen bride of only 44 years.
