Something went wrong with the Lump FILIUS SCAT last out when he was running a good one at a huge number. Two months off, a bullet work tab and a rider change to Ortiz tells me he might be poised to have a good race today. The figs were on the upswing and he caught huge cash in the debut. If he's "repaired" he's certain to outrun his odds.

It's third over for SARATOGA COLONEL. This son of COLONEL JOHN may be best here but he'll have to be much the best to pull out of Canarsie and win this one. Not out of it with Franco up and if he catches some inside scratches so much the better.

LOOKING AT U KID went third with open forties two back and plodded OK last out up at Saratoga. Gets the two-hole today and a new rider and I just think he might help a gimmick ticket underneath perhaps. OK bucker flicker with these.

Tough race.

I was trying to get a P3 to land into the #3 FILIUS SCAT for a possible payday but I fumbled my flopper and that one is racing for my DD now off a great number.

A full-bird Marine COLONEL is one rank below the general ranks which is the equivalent to the ADMIRAL ranks in the Navy.

I'm in as an old-fart vet for a flier.

A 5/2 fave out of Canarsie is not a great thrill but at least I get a P3 to kick off while using only two in Leg 1.

I knew this was a tough card yesterday.
