Third over for ARTISTIC QUALITY. Bred nicely to take on more ground. Ortiz up for Clement.
Tough-luck runner GOLDEN CAST goes second off the bench. Lost the three prior turf routes in photos. I'm OK with Junior up to work a trip and I'm an old fan of Leo O'Brien.

a very competitive race to open the day I think. Clemente's other entry, Ormolu Lu, appears ready for her close-up. Third over today, this one showed great improvement on her 2nd out. Rose Garden can't be dismissed as she's bred to run all day. Haven't been able to play a full card in a while but am hoping to get in a bunch today. Good luck! btw: Leo almost won a turf route with Luzzi aboard...so yes the horse can run

I see possibilities galore here and that's why the bar opened at noon. Temps in the mid-60s for first post while the October sun tries to get us to 70.

I was hoping for a better number but 4th choice 7/2 was OK.
FOURSTARDAVE's trainer gets his first Belmont winner for the meet.
