Six races today are for fillies and mares. This is race #5 for the lady runners.

MADAME UNO can go well fresh and draws OK inside on the inner. Figures to stalk the pace with a good trip and not jump prematurely like last time. One for two at the distance and the rider change to Castellano seals the deal.

It's second over for FROSTY LADY and she's in good form. Is a winner at a mile and cuts back a sixteenth from a fine effort off a freshening. Irad stays and she looms large.

LION IN WAIT has won two in a row on the engine. Cuts back to mile today with new rider JV. No dog-leg chute to contend with but she'll be "used" to get to the front and tuck in before the first turn shows up but she can rate too and it'll be interesting to see what JV does. She's got a good shot here and hopefully provide an OK number on the tote.

The Three/Four are going for my DD and Leg 2 of a P3 off a single in the first leg.

I does love the inside on the inner but I am a tad befuddled again.

JV did everything right with LION IN WAIT except win.

FROSTY LADY got box-pleted down the lane and lost all chance.

Box-pleted is an old racetrack term I learned from Pop and some ancient railrats when I was a lad - it's the same as being caught in a "blind switch".
