CATHOLIC BOY makes the dirt debut as a graded-stakes turf winner. Looks like a test for the 3-year-old season as a TC nominee. Scope the tote.

The Lump V. I. P. CODE is by CITY ZIP and has yet to be off the board. Got second in the AWAD last out at 71/1. Comes back to dirt and I'm looking for a good run.

It's JERSEY JOE up on AVERY ISLAND for McLaughlin. Inside draw with good tactical speed looms large if the fractions are soft.

Chad's ALKHATAAM tries this as a maiden. The tote will will give me a clue for covering as I'm not thrilled with anybody in this race.

I could make a case for a lot of these.

The chalk winning last race has my saver pick 4 alive but to collect I need a Chad Brown double. I think 7 Alkhaatam will win this race.
Catholic Boy is a very good grass horse and if he can handle dirt I think he hits the board . 5 to 2 is a bit low for me to wager on him.

The Five/Eight could carry on my P3 and what my son says is true. He is a CATHOLIC BOY. He used to cut school at Bishop Kellenberg so that he could play some ponies with his old man and that used to break my heart since he drank a lot of my money away with the beers.

One day John cut school and I was going to punish him but then he phoned to say he hit P6 for $5 grand on a $2 wager. He called me at my second office at Chicco's Saloon and I drove to the Levittown OTB to deliver stern punishment. Actually I drove over there to share in the wealth and work out a game plan for railratting at the track with a bankroll.

Hunch bet of the day rolls and gets my P3 by Leg 2.

4/1 was dicey at the win window but this "turf" runner was much the best.
