It doesn't quite have the ring to it as Tampa Tuesday but the card has three turf races on it. With the jet stream out of whack the high temperature in the forecast for Tampa is 58 but that's looking like severe heat from where I'm sitting. I think I could be in after I'm out at dawn tomorrow for the first beer run of the new year. |

Well, I made the dawn beer run but at 9 a.m. it's 46 degrees and raining in Tampa. And it's 67 and raining in Miami according to the National Weather Service. A major Nor'easter will be rolling up the coast today and all I know is that I'll be behind a snow blower tomorrow. It shouldn't be too bad but Boston is under a blizzard watch and upper New England is going to get hammered. It's sunny and a balmy 16 degrees at my house. I wouldn't bet on any Aqueduct racing this week as the coldest air yet is due to roll in Friday and Saturday. |
