This happened to the inner track as well. Snow and subfreezing temperatures get the track harrowed out a great deal but ice crystals just get plowed under the track. With a sudden thaw the ice crystals melt and turn the track to mud and sometimes slop. And it can happen in a hurry and not uniformly. |
