UNBRIDLEDADVENTURE likes it wet and has a win and a second with open company recently. Drops today. Two for two at the distance.

COTTON CANDY CUTIE is by this condition at the Finger for lesser money and gets to do it again. Handles wet and was a good second last out. Can go early and has the rail with McCarthy.

CONNIE A. and the Lump BEYOND DISCREET are maiden slop winners.

Another delay and I think it could be over and out.

If this contest goes off the Ace/Three will be running for my second DD.

There is standing water on the track - it is Sloppy, not Muddy.

Is there a rule that if NYRA runs 3 races then cancels the remainder of the races the day doesn't count as a cancellation or the other way around:
if they run three  races and cancel then the day doesn't count as a "race day"... :?: :?:

NYRA has to $h!t or get off the pot. It's not like sunset can be delayed. Call it off or start racing - the sun ain't coming out to burn off the fog.

It's like Marine officers and NCOs are taught - in a tight spot, no decision is worse than a bad decision.

Jeez, Wooley I dunno.

All I know is that I beat this two-race program nicely and am awaiting the phone call from the Handicappers Hall of Fame.

It's not a knock on NYRA - we had 14 straight days of sub-freezing weather and a blizzard before very warm January temperatures arrived for a super-thaw. With the cloud cover and rain fog was inevitable. The melting snow is evaporating at a huge pace and has nowhere to go except to condense into fog

Mom Nature is doing menopause I think.
