Slops/No Turf
At Colonial, this is like meeting six guys leaving your girlfriend's apartment with smiles as you go up the stairs.

Ill tell you what, Im gonna take one shot here. I'm gonna take a stab with the one dropping in from better races and starting outside. Gonna try the drop, cutback, great sire angle here. Work before last race indicates decent speed and a horse raced at the wrong distance. cant bet a zip to 5 firster.

I don't remember, KP, but you are probably correct.
At Bemont one time I was up on the rail with the old man and we bet a runner going a mile and a half on a soggy bog. Hedley Woodhouse was in the saddle. The half went in 51 and long change and the horse was up by ten lengths at 15/1.
Got home by a head staggering but put them all to sleep early on.

Colonial is turf only until the weather takes it away, KP.
I don't go back 44 years with Colonial like I do with One-Eyed Kathy but that's what I know.
Years ago, Colonial was never heard of for wagering but I'm a simple old fart and going dull in the skull.

Colonial is almost exclusively turf racing on the weekends, but they do card dirt races during the week, usually 2 to 3 per day.
Colonial Downs has been open since 1997 and is esentially an extension of the year-round Maryland thoroughbred meet.
They run the G3 All Along and G2 Colonial Turf Cup this weekend which are preps for the Virginia Oaks and Virginia Derby later in July.
