The rumors of my demise, deportation and/or time in the county lockup are untrue - I've just been tied up with medical appointments in my seemingly never-ending brawl with cancer that started in 2018. I've done infusions, endoscopies, surgeries, chemo, more infusions and now radiation. But I'm still upright and feeling OK thanks to some superb medical care via the VA and NYU/Langone. I am grateful as well for the taxpayers who pay 100% of my medical bills. Never as a teen Marine 57 years ago did I ever think I'd be in the position I am in now.
