I'm thinking about some classmates, friends and fellow Marines not present for anything today. And Pop too, who was wounded twice in WWII.
On the lighter side, there may be no Met Mile today but Belmont has a Slow Bred Showcase in full swing with six stakes races.

Some NY state breds are fine runners who can go with anybody but diddling around with some Yorker Rule steeds is still great fun to collect with, especially at decent odds.
