Well, it used to be the mile-and-a-half Coaching Club American Oaks as the third leg of the Filly Triple Crown at scale weight but now it's just a watered-down 9f stakes race. Like old Fuggsy McGurk used to say along the rail, "The game has gone from ponies to pansies."

It's a good 11-race card and the plans are to be in action. The farmers and tourists will be out in force. The weather should be OK with only a stray shower in the forecast.
