I'm taking into account all of the negatives that QP has heaped upon this winter meet, including the high percentage of winning favorites, so I won't blame anyone for thinking it's folly for me to continue chasing longshots. Although this particular field doesn't particularly enthuse me, it's missing a key ingredient - the usual gaggle of trainers who are responsible for that high win percentage are missing from the entry box here. In other words, it's anybody's. So I'm landing on Wise Choice, because this is when Sciacca strikes. Pedroza replaces Jaime Rodriguez, and that's a plus.....presuming that Jaime took ill yesterday and I want another aggressive, healthy bug riding this mare. DD....5/ALL......ex box.....5/ALL......Show #5 Donna's Sandee is interesting; might be part of trend to get closers to run up on the pace (see Stopbluffing - Race 8) and ran much improved last out. Gets the rail.

42/1 under lands a $50 zacta under the 3-legged Ramon whizbang. Jeez, Rocketman you got guts and I salute you, sir.

Was interrupted by a half-dozen phone calls right after Race 1 was completed. The trainers weren't there, but the highest percentage itm jockey was - Ramon. Should have keyed the winner on top with my longshot in triples....5/4/ALL and 5/ALL/4 would have cost four bucks each way. Satisfied that I had the right 'under' horse.
