Linda Rice's RESOUNDINGLY took the smart money and exploded to be much the best in good time to break the maiden last out. Can take another with Rose up.

The JV/Pletch team go with HIGH STRIDER who made the 3-yo debut a winning one. Gonna be coming late with:

Clement's NAPLES BAY. This daguhter of GIANT'S CAUSEWAY draws way outside but she's bred to fire late and will need a trip from Trujillo.

The 8/12 bring in some lousy DDs off the chalk.

My 'capping is "short" today but the old man was in an Army hospital overlooking NAPLES BAY in November of 1943 when he had parts of his ass and hip shot away for his second Purple Heart.

Thanks, Pop. Tapping a 2/1 winner ain't a bad deal. Yeah, I know, 9/2 and 5/1 are better.

I just wish I could have grabbed a better DD on the 4X2 play.
