I'm scratching my head, and so is everyone else. Deputyville (#7) came close last out, but hasn't won since last June, and almost always comes too little, too late. 2-1 ML? I don't buy it, and neither does the crowd. No early dough there.

Wrath of Evan (#1) put it together last time, but has been a lost horse since leaving Cal Lynch. Another ML favorite not taking money from the crowd.

If you toss the last out clunker in the mud by Oldham (#2), the horse is in decent form. Alvarado sticks, and will be making the late bid.

The early stages look destined to be a battle between Powder House Road (#4) and Dancing Nick (#5), with Bernulli (#3) and Brandons Beach (#6) keeping company.

Tough race. Several directions one can turn.
