I don't have a strong opinion here with all the layups but a few things did catch my eye in this Slow Bred stakes.

CHORUS MUSIC was in fine form last fall when put on the shelf. This gal ended her season with a victory VS open allowance horses at today's distance and if she's fit she's the horse to beat here. She's 2/2/1 from 6 races on the Belmont weeds.

EXCLUSIVE DREAM got a workout over the Big A mud last out off the shelf but fits with these.

AKALINA likes the Belmont turf (3 for 7) and was going OK at GP when laid up 61 days ago. Hey, she's a Clement runner and will draw a lot of interest.

Bomb Lump PARAIBA has never been off the board at today's distance, is a two-time winner at Belmont, and handles a boggy turf course well. Take two shots of Irish whiskey, chase them with a cold beer, and cover this thing. You get Edgar up for Donk and that ain't bad.

The DD lands with 2/8 and the P3 moves on with 2/3.

I truly believe that PARAIBA is overlaid with these and deserves a place in the gimmicks.

Jason and the paddock lady need to learn how to pronounce the name of the stakes and the name of the bird - it's like "linnit" not "linette". I've had enough of these small birds crap on my head on the west coast of Ireland to know the diference. Durkin called it right but he's a Mick like me. The race is named after a former Leo O'Brien distaff runner, IRISH LINNET.

Could've gone all, stayed disciplined and only went 3 deep, and now alive to what could be ok P4 payoffs to 7-10 in the 5th. Saver P3 moves on with 4-8

CHORUS MUSIC got pounded late to be the fave and that made sense.

I get the DD and P3 leg 1 and 2 to land but the bankroll at my house ain't going nowhere.

I'm starting to feel like The Little Engine That Couldn't.
