Even when I began to follow NY racing closely in 1998/1999 the Belmont Spring/Fall meets were premier. No doubt, the Breeders Cup killed the Belmont Fall Meet. No one races their good horses...all wait for BC.

Look at ALL the NY trainers that Churchill Downs and Keeneland drain from Belmont's Spring meet...it has been like this since 2004/2005 or whenever Spitzer started messing with NYRA in that witch-hunt.
