BEAUX CHOIX (Beautiful Choice in French) was much the best but when caught in a blind switch along the rail had to come by way of Canarsie to catch the place.

Amazingly it was his entrymate that cut off his path.

This is still the toughest game in town right behind getting shot at.

:arrow: Grass courses look like flat carpet; fast fractions, as noted by belmontlover yesterday.

Clement won, but 6/5 doesn't help the DD spread, unless I catch either of the two outside posts in Race 5.

All of Clement's horses seem to be ready. Tagg's runners all seem to need a race, though he can well take at least one of the next two heats on turf.
The grass is where the money is, but not in five-horse fields. Surprised there weren't more running in that overnight stakes.
