Just some early thoughts before the scratches come up.

The SCHOOLYARD CAT - SCRATCH - beat Slow Bred allowance runners last out at today's distance and slides sideways into an open claimer. Loses Ramon but catches a weight break with the bug boy off a sharp work tab. Needs to improve his game today to beat some of these but not out of it.

The undefeated Lump TAZERED is a perfect one for one but hasn't been seen for 231 days. Nice 36.2 speed tab on May 14th for Contessa. Scope the tote.

The lightly-raced ONE COOL DUDE was two for two on some South American dirt before heading north. In first time for a tag on the drop and JV stays. Shaky fave for my money.

The MTOs can both handle the wet and maybe I take another shot with the WIDCAT on the stretchout. The bum ran out of ground in his last race.

For a buck the ALL/ALL/ALL Pick 3 wager will cost just $90.

There are 30 early scratches leaving one race with a thundering herd of three and a 6-horse getaway race.

I predict no Pick 6 carryover and an early DD of less than ten bucks.

I'm still drinking coffee and I'm bent out of shape.

The live TV feed via cable keeps going "blue screen" and crapping out but we're very adaptable at my house.

The WIDCAT is way overbet at 1/9 with 28MTP. He's never been a mile.

This game ain't that easy, is it?

No way you can bet Luzzi on a 1-9 or 1-4, particularly on a stretchout. Tazered may have been Derby nominated but it's been a long, long time between races, and it appears to be Linda Rice's meet, not Gary Contessa's so far. I would use only Gold Raptor except for JV sitting on the Argentine.
I look away from the odds for a minute and the 1 and 5 are now 2/1. Can't catch a break.

I suppose I can take my waders off and remove the life preservers, snorkels, and small rubber flippers from the cats - the sun is out and the "deluge" from the forecast is not happening now.

I diddle dicked a P3: 1-4-5-9/2/4

We may not get rich today with this busted card but we've made it our own and intend to have some fun with it.

DD: 4-9/2-4

Luck to all who "wade" in here today.

Nuts to look at Chad Brown's pony with the immense rider change? The low ebase number in the 3/24 sprint was due to a hand ride . . . .

I wanted to grab my pistol when I saw all the scratches but I had nothing to shoot at. Neverthless, the zacta $$$ is all over the place and the old .45 Pistolzcta catches a tumble: 4/5
