IN STEP was the FOURTH choice in P3's...yet sits on the board at 6-5. The 10K bandit strikes again...but when a horse is bought for a million, I can see why. MAPLE FOREST ran off in slop debut, and her mom won in slop too. This is the one to fear.

The works on the 1 look like a G1's and a couple years ago with Prado on top I would have had no qualms; now, qualms.
Tried and true, fast and Blue: JV/Pletcher on the wellbred Blue Heaven filly.

I just phoned a Veterans Shelter for directions on the bus.
I also phoned Mother Mercy's kitchen to see if an old white guy can grab some pancakes and coffee in the morning.
Cold DD: 5/14

Won for fun in slop in debut. Where's your Kick me Hard sign, Q/P? In fairness to me, had stopped raining when I put the P4 in...track was good...didn't think the 5 would be at an advantage.

The tap cold DD lives on but today was not a wonderful deal so far.
I have been stupid all day but I knew that Belmont slop favors speed and has since I was a little boy.
Those 21 and 45 splits didn't mean much when it all sagged down to a 1:12 finish - horse clear and splashing.
I just need DRINK AT LAST CALL to do the same in the busted nightcap.
