Cal Nation threw a clunker in a muddy Jerome as the favorite, and drops back to non-winners. The one to beat on paper. Settle for Medal has been stuck against some of the better shooters in the 3YO crop, and with the presence of Cal Nation, may very well be overwhelmed again. However, he enters the race fresh, has experience over the track, and could be sitting on a decent race. Hennig has had high hopes for this one from the beginning. More than capable of outrunning his odds. The other shooter with a legit chance is Vee's Accolade, who is as good as Cal Nation here if he duplicates that 90 Beyer from 2/24 at Gulfstream. |

The bridgejumpers look to be making another appearance at Belmont this afternoon... 80% of the show pool cuts through Cal Nation. |
