Only the #3 M ONE RIFLE completes the Pick 3 but some P4 action rolls on with 3-7/1-7/3-7.

As a new 18-year-old in February of 1966 I found myself at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina for infantry training.

The Marine Corps always gets short-shitted in budgets and Vietnam was taking off a tad then. I had trained with an M-14 rifle at Parris Island and knew that Marines were overseas in Vietnam then with that weapon while the Army had landed with the M-16 (Colt AR-15 back then).

All of the great weapons in stock were overseas - I caught an M-1 .30 caliber Garand to train with. This rifle was the piece that won WWII and was obsolete then. It was a beautiful semi-automatic weapon for 8 rounds but it's ammo was not 7.62 mm "NATO"and our country was going into the "Matty Mattel " - the M-16 puss gun that couldn't hit shit at 500 yards like Marines were trained to nail with a single shot.
