Marine Officer looks best. She has that French turf class. I remember the dam, used to race for Jerkens and my boy Samyn used to ride. Betting a few francs to win.

BRUCE ALLEY is on a roll with ever-better figs and can take another here.

Lump ROYAL STRAIGHT has been competitive and working nicely during the freshening. Could be set to fire today at a nice number today with Ramon up.

Batter Up is a solid overlay for Chad at 8-1. Concerns are that this is a sophomore vs. older, but this isn't the most accomplished field; Castellano jumps elsewhere, but Leparoux sees fit and will need to give this one the trip.

The chalk wins with a trip out of the Black Lagoon by way of Canarsie and for me that horse was an auto-toss.

Funny, listening to Andy on the prattle he almost wanted to call an audible based on the price but winds up with the winner.

Andy liked the horse with 6/1 morning line but Andy is a value guy like the rest of us and didn't like the 2/1 off odds.

As a Keeneland shipper I probably would have binked a boopsie with him at 6/1 but as the chalk off a layup I threw him out.
