AFRICAN KING came off the layup running and got beat by a length and a half in 1:09.3. Has breezed since and rates favoritism I suppose with the drop to the bottom. Look for red eyes in the paddock and steam emerging from under his tail. If you see those things you'll know that Dr. Dutrow has the horse ready.

LEAP DAY - SCRATCHED - looks to be the controlling speed and fired nicely last out VS similar, missing by only a nose. Will have to go an additional 16th today however.

AL'S LARK likes the distance, can handle the wet, is in OK form, drops, and has won with Husbands. What's not to like?

Lump DIGGER KARAKORM might be worth a flyer somewhere. This bum has four seconds in five races at Belmont and is capable of winning here if he fires. Steps up big time with chances on a wet track. The figs are tailing off so you'll catch a number if you catch him under in something.

Well I get live P3 and DD action as my choices go 1/2/3 in the wrong order.

The DIGGER Lump was in trouble after the 22.49 opening quarter.
