If we get a soft or yielding course tomorrow, there might be a nice play in here. Stay tuned.

You're not by any chance referring to Naipaul Chatterpaul's Cihangir and the fact 1) that his lone win came on a bog in Ireland, 2) his stateside races are complete throwouts (2 dirt clunkers and 2 firm turfs) and 3) the quality of horse he was facing across the pond is far superior than what he faces here?

If you're thinking what I was thinking, either I just mooked you, or you're onto something here.

Quality rabbit Quick Money is going to be alone on the lead if there's any sanity in the jockey colony; Javier, who can ride patiently, can stalk with Fisherman's Wharf and hope that Ramon puts just a little too much gas on in the backstretch and can catch in the final strides. I don't see the speed duel that would set up a closer like the classic record-setting victory of Gantry the other day.

SOTB has made me ka-klunk my head against the wall so many times though ("Ka-klunk, ka-klunk, ka-klunk, why don't I listen to SOTB in the Triple Crown, Breeder's Cup and a hundred other races??? ka-klunk, klunk, ka-da-klunk-de-klunk") that I'm not at all sure about this.

Luigi is tempting but with the bad Lezcano on, I can't back even at the 30/1 he may be showing at posttime.

1/2
1/1,5,6 dbl
1/1,6/3 the Quick Money Big Sandy P3

TEMECULA CREEK is third off the layup and can run on anything. Could be faster than these.

The WHARF thingy looks for two in a row and could do it if he catches another clear inside trip.

The last two races for CAN'T REFUSE have been very good. Way overlaid. This guy rates a shot off his last effort VS better Slow Breds.

I hear that the box is a good bet.

That $16.80 was a very generous payoff with the two faves in a keyed box, E78th. I would take that all day and night and before long be at my desk with stacks of money blocking my view of the TV. I'm just sorry I caught the fave to kick off the multis. Good shooting.

The REFUSE Lump was going fastest at the end.
