The 1/2/6 grab a P3 for me while the #7 TACKLE does the life-altering conso payoff as a late scratch.

Nobody loves New York racing more than me and not a lot of people had more jobs at the NYRA tracks than me over the years (including collecting money and hustling wagers when the old man took book) but I truly expected better racing in my latter years.

Here we go with another thundering herd of five in a near-bottom claimer.

The wife has my .45 (her father was a Marine and she knows how to use it) and the rum so I'll just have to plod along and hope to sweep the card with action while I maybe break even.

The $37.60 P3 lands along with the $15.20 conso as my phone rings off the hook. All of the callers are crazy women lurkers here with no money and stockbrokers with maybe 4th-grade educations.

I kick off a new P3 with a $4.50 winner in a 3-horse spread that went one/two/three. When you stink you stink but I'm not ready to step out yet with a wager today.

Lump under the chalk landed again.

Maybe somebody with a brain will post something decent that I can ponder later.
