On paper the entry appears to be unbeatable but I do agree that the Lump COALTOWN LEGEND is interesting. His namesake COALTOWN was the rabbit for stablemate CITATION in the '48 Derby and many thought he'd have won the race instead of being second if allowed to run his race. Anyway COALTOWN was the '48 Sprint Champion and in '49 was Handicap Horse of the Year wile doing this:

1. A new world record for the mile at Washington Park Racetrack
2. Equaled the world record and set a new track record for 1 1/4 miles at Gulfstream Park
3. Equaled the world record and set a new track record for 1 1/8 miles at Hialeah Park
4. Set a new track record for 1 1/8 miles at Arlington Park
5. Equaled the track record for six furlongs at Hollywood Park Racetrack

With that said, this race has me wondering if I should try to beat the Pletcher entry.

Maybe I'll be "stuck on stupid" in the early going but the early races ain't puttin' no thrills in my raggedy old drawers. Hopefully, some people with better smarts will show up and show me the way. Nevertheless, I'm in for some action.

Huge win and show dough landed on the entry at the last monent.

It pays to cover QP's history lessons.

Zacta gets split but a payday double is alive.

Good selection by Andy - he liked the LEGEND and wasn't afraid to hand it out.
