Andy's agreeing with the tote that it oughta be 1,6,4 in odds.
I like JV in big races and Ichabod Crane for the place money, not going on anything but memory. This matches up pretty well with QP's win pix for this race in the 2nd leg of his P3, (1,2,4,6), so with 2 knowledgeable people saying similar things, I will support a
6/4 cheapy cold ex, showing now a very generous $43.

Well, they've shortened up the race and laid puss weights upon the runners.

Christ Almighty, even in my younger days more than 35,000 would come out to Belmont to see horses go a distance and carry weight. Damn, they'd go once around before drugs made lightly-raced pansy ponies loaded up with chemicals go to stud and make the handicap distances go short with feathers on the runners.

I think two races have gone 12 furlongs this meet when even in the 1960's you could see allowance horses and cheap claimers go once around Belmont in large fields several times a week.

Here, the pansy fave hasn't even been 9 furlongs.

Rant over. I'm in.

As I recall, you've had good luck with Colizeo in the past--it surprised and paid well. Is that right? How do you see him running this one?

whooo, never saw that one coming! Good race for Flat Out. I am so tempted to be my typical jerky self and stir the pot with "but I think he'll never win another race"--but I'm just going for a chuckle not a tsunami.

Jeez, I'm starting to stink up the place badly.

1:46.64 is wonderful time for 9 furlongs but under 115 assigned and home with 117 because the rider got fat has me wondering why I still play my dollars and deuces.

I never get sour about losses and mine are just at $65 going into the nightcap.

Once a New York railrat and fan, always a New York railrat and fan.
