Eleven races but we have a 6-horse Suburban Handicap (before scratches). Every runner in it is assigned a feathery 115 pounds, a veritable sham and 11 pounds under 3-year-old scale. What handicap? Jeez, this race used to be the part of the Handicap Triple Crown and one of the most prestigious races in the nation. In 1975 I watched FOREGO win this race at a mile and a half while carrying 134 pounds.
