Just some early Thursday thoughts before I go study someplace to blow the Philly bankroll from Tuesday. We have full fields for Friday and no sissy turf sprints. It's an early Slow Bred DD but they're turf routers and that ain't bad. This is a beautiful card.

FIZZANO broke the maiden last out in a real slow plod job at today's distance and catches Ramon today VS winners for the first time. Figures to be overbet by every farmer and tourist in plaid pants. Sharp speed work on July 15th which tells me that Bond knows that another 50+ half ain't gonna get it done with this group.

DUAL CITIZEN is open-company stakes placed and is 3 for 5 in the $$$ going a mile and a sixteenth. Sharp breeze since that last race debacle and could be worth a flyer here. Adds blinks and Maragh stays.

Nice rising figs for GAMBLIN FEVER but this 2 for 37 runner has had a lot of chances. Both wins have come on the turf with one VS open claimers. Would need a number at 4/1 or better to back here unless diddled with a bomber somehow.

BOAT looked like a nice race horse when he broke the maiden at GP but has been only so-so since moving north and marching with state-breds. Still too soon to toss this guy as a bum and Castellano takes the return mount for Bush.

Fizzano crawled through pedestrian fractions to break the maiden last out, and will take $$$ with Dominguez aboard. Not a fan here.

Gamblin Fever almost always seems to find a way to lose, and the 7/2 ML is not justified.

Boat reunites with the hottest jock in the world right now in Castellano, and will need a trip. Another short ML.

Not sure what went amiss with Dual Citizen last out, but the horse seemed to be rounding into form prior to that one. Nearly wired them last year at the Spa, and should get a decent break in here with the lack of real speed. I might forgive the clunker and give this one a huge shot at redemption.

Race seems wide open and none would be surprised. I'll start a D/D with the 7 and the 10 in the foist.

7-10/3-11

Tapidar should relish the firm turf here. Metivier won the Saratoga opener last year. Has two going today. Boat may have something to run at today. Looking for Castellano to start off well. The Noz gets back onto the turf and shows a nice f work on 7/17.

9 win

8-9-10 Exacta & Tri boxes

Great race when the 2-for-37 horse is 7-2. Should run 2nd/3rd 6-8-9/7/ALL, 6-8-9/ALL/7 Tris

The BOAT floats!

Yorker's chuckling over that Slow Bred somewhere.

Great Tri, Stan.
