Helluva race and you could make a strong case for a bunch of these but two things caught my eye early on. Tagg's GROOMEDFORVICTORY went lights-out to be second at GP (VS tough open company) off the layoff at today's distance and then stretched out to go second in a busted turf race. First turf race but you have to figure that Grassman Tagg is set to go today and the cutback is a nice thing to see. I don't have any luck with MISSINGLISALEWIS but off the layoff last month he only got beat three lengths in 1:22 flat VS better open-company allowance runners. He, too cuts back, off a nice effort at a route. He's at an overlaid 6/1 with 36MTP. |

For what it's worth, STORMY SUCCESS made both the Lump and Webby lists, making that one a Wump. In the $$$ at 38/1 in a Slow Bred stakes last out (over soft turf) at a mile and a sixteenth and here he gets to cut back with some class relief. This is not firm turf, I don't care what NYRA says. |

Remarkable Storm won at this distance last out on a good turf. Repeat winner try not out of this one. Trainer 2 for 3, gets Lezcano. |

MissingLisaLewis and Ziptothecity both are turning back, and are not on a class raise. I like this angle at 7f, 4 and 8 win |

I came up with the 1. 2 races on the turf with a 2/1/1/0 from 2 starts. Last was a busted turf sprint. Keeps Coa. The 4 also makes Can close and my x's last name is Lewis so it can fuk me more than 1 way. pk 3 1-4/6/2-6 WP1 D/D 1-3/6 |

I could not have played the winner with match sticks, chipped marbles, ripped baseball cards, bent pennies, or counterfeit subway tokens. Lump across for the $10.80 show price would have been an OK saver but we ain't that smart at the downstairs saloon. |

He won last May on the 26th. Martin has them ready on the turf. Look at those last 3. Over his head. |

The horse had not raced in 9 months so his last 3 meant little to me. The Martin/Ramon connection was worth a look for sure, however. I read in a dirty book once that you can make a baby in 9 months but I'm always too embarrassed to ask one of the girls at a board meeting if this is true. |
